the original concept came from real life situations of a busy household � from trying to keep check of three young active children out and about (alert mode), to giving the kids the ability to contact a parent if there was a problem (panic). on top of that, there was the need to find everyday items : keys, mobile phones, glasses, tv remotes (which went missing daily), and not forgetting the cat who would typically hide until the kids had gone to bed (locate).

for the rfid aficionados out there to the best of our knowledge we have the best performing active rfid tag of its kind on the market providing a combination of small size 3cm x 19.5cm, great range and accuracy from up to 183 metres away, guiding users in to within 2cm of the lost item.
how does loc8tor work?
loc8tor uses a blend of exciting new technologies and traditional radio frequency (rf) technology to provide the only locating device of its kind which actually guides you which way to walk to find your lost item.
loc8tor is incredibly easy to use. simply select the item you want to locate from a personalized drop down list (loc8tor plus) and the handset will pick up that tags signal even working through doors, walls and drawers. the tags signal is translated in to clear audio and visual prompts on the handheld guiding you which direction to walk in.
both tags and handset transmit and receive radio signals. once a tag has been registered to a handset only that handset can locate that specific tag.
the handset has a maximum range of 183 metres / 600 feet based on clear line of sight and can guide you in to within 2.5 cm / 1 inch of the lost or misplaced item. audio beeps and a flashing light are also emitted by the tag to help you home in on the items specific location.
both tags and handset run off batteries (supplied), can be used indoors or out and importantly there are no ongoing monthly charges just the one off purchase price.
